I decided to do this set of videos for 2 reasons. One it's a question I get asked often in my other Videos Comments, and two, I still see a great deal of FSX videos here on Youtube that are like slideshows. With the influx of Intel C2D systems and better Video cards, I would have expected to see this number decrease. So in the hopes, it is just an issue of settings, I decided to make this video set to help others improve their FSX performance.
As noted in the video, there is a bug (or maybe it's by design) with locking frames. If the FPS is near or less then value you set as locked, you will notice a 5 to 10 FPS decrease, over than if you ran it unlimited. Don't know why this happens, as it wasn't an issue with FS2004.
