In development since March 2008, the film has many never seen before effects in a Flight Simulator video. High Stakes highlights many flight simulator addons throughout the community, including a project I am a member of... the Aerosoft F-16 Viper. While the Viper is still in beta, you can see that it is coming along nicely.

One it's a question I get asked often in my other Videos Comments, and two, I still see a great deal of FSX videos here on Youtube that are like slideshows. With the influx of Intel C2D systems and better Video cards, I would have expected to see this number decrease. So in the hopes, it is just an issue of settings, I decided to make this video set to help others improve their FSX performance.

So in the hopes, it is just an issue of settings, I decided to make this video set to help others improve their FSX performance.
As noted in the video, there is a bug (or maybe it's by design) with locking frames. If the FPS is near or less then value you set as locked, you will notice a 5 to 10 FPS decrease, over than if you ran it unlimited. Don't know why this happens, as it wasn't an issue with FS2004.

Note: I intended this to be a manual landing from 500 feet, but had trouble disengaging the autopilot, so decided to continue the Autoland to test the new Aerosoft Scenery. As you can see touchdown was left of center line. I don't know if it's the scenery, but I had heard some reports it may be the 744 itself. Also Heathrow ground sent me to never never land to park in the open. My passengers were none to happy getting out in the rain!!! :LOL
